#Sponsored Post: New Orbit for Kids

Disclaimer: I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Orbit for Kids. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

My poor youngest son has always struggled with his teeth. By the time he was 3 he had already had two dental surgeries. It came as a shock to my husband and I since my oldest has never had any cavities. They ate the same foods, never had juice and drank a ton of water. Yet my poor baby had horrible, horrible teeth. Since he was so little we had to take him to a pediatric dentist over an hour away and spend more money than I like to think about. Luckily his teeth seem to have leveled out. He hasn't had any cavities in over a year and he loves to brush and floss his teeth like his big brother. Since we have gone through so much drama with the dentist my kids know that dental hygiene takes the front seat in my household.
Orbit for Kids

Every morning and evening my kids have a routine. They floss (once a day), brush and then use fluoride mouth rinse. I am pretty strict about it and they don't put up a fight. The other routine that we have is sugar free gum. The pediatric dentist actually recommended chewing it after lunch and in between brushing as a way to keep food particles off of their teeth. Now I don't buy it every week, but it's a great way to allow my kids a treat without the sugar. Recently I was given the opportunity to try new Orbit for Kids.
Orbit for Kids Strawberry Banana
Orbit for kids comes in two flavors - bubble gum and strawberry banana. It has been awarded the ADA Seal of Acceptance and is a thing to add to your child's brushing routine. It is sugar free and comes in two sizes - a 14 tab envelope and Multi-pack bags of 10.

My kids really loved the strawberry banana flavor we sampled. The taste wasn't overly artificial and the package was bright and enticing. This is a product that would be noticed on the shelf and since I only buy sugar free gum this would be a nice way to allow my kids a non-sugar treat.

  4. Your poor little guy! My husband has terrible teeth and I worry about Nick (although mine are great). He does put up a fight to get his teeth brushed. *sigh*

  5. i've tried Orbit but didn't realize that they had it now for kids as well. My youngest also has not so great teeth but that could be because I have to always remind him to brush. Don't know what it is with little boys. Took him to the dentist a few months ago and he had 2 cavities and he still doesn't remember to brush. I'll look at my local Target or Walmart and see if they have these, make it a treat, if he remembers to brush without me reminding him he'll get one after lunch. :)

    1. My kids are great about brushing their teeth, but genetics got the best of my youngest :) I use gum as a reward too, they only get it once in a while.
