Having grown up in Seattle I have loved coffee as far back as I can remember. I used to steal sips of my mother's coffee when she wasn't looking since the taste was so great. As I got older I bought just about every coffee contraption I could find. Grinders, French presses, espresso makers, and more. When my husband and I got married I discovered a man that loved coffee almost as much as I did. Given my love of coffee I am always looking for new flavors and brands to try. Recently, I was given the opportunity to have a Dunkin' Donuts In-Home Party and try their 3 new seasonal flavors.

For my party I was given 7 tote bags for my guests, which included:
  • One of the three new flavors of Dunkin' Donuts Coffee (Coconut, Triple Berry, or Strawberry Shortcake)
  • A tumbler
  • A $2.00 off coupon
  • An iced coffee recipe card
In addition I received my own tote bag which contained:
  • All three flavors of the new Dunkin' Donuts Coffee (Coconut, Triple Berry, and Strawberry Shortcake)
  • A tumbler
  • A $2.00 coupon
  • An iced coffee recipe card
I am lucky to have a great mix of friends, so I was able to invite a variety of people to taste the new flavors. For the party I decided to make recipes using the new coffee flavors. That way all my guests could try the coffee and see and taste all the outside of the box ways that the flavors could be used. Of all my guests, only one of them had tried Dunkin' Donut coffee previously, so it was a fresh taste for the majority. As for me, I buy Dunkin' Donuts on and off depending on sales, coupons, etc.

Dunkin Donuts Coconut Iced Coffee

The first recipe that I made with the coffee was the iced coffee recipe included with the tote bags. Here is the adapted version:
  • 3/4 cup ground Coconut Dunkin' Donuts coffee
  • 3 cups cold water
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup non-fat half and half
  • whipped cream if using
Make coffee using 3/4 cup ground coffee and 1 1/2 cups of water. When finished brewing let coffee sit in the fridge to cool. When the coffee has cooled to at least room temp combine the coffee, sugar and half and half in a blender. Blend. Add sugar and liquefy until sugar has dissolved completely. Chill in the fridge until cool. Pour over ice in cup and if you desire top with whipped cream.

For the second recipe I made Boozy Frozen Coffee (Frappe):
  • 1 cup brewed and cooled Coconut or Strawberry Shortcake Dunkin' Donuts Coffee
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
  • 2 cups crushed ice
  • 2 shots chocolate vodka
  • 3/4 fat free half-and-half
Make sure that the coffee that you brew is very strong. In a blender combine all ingredients. How much you blend the ingredients will depend on how much ice you desire in your finished drink. I completely blended the servings I made so it resembled the bottled drinks made by another well known coffee company. Top with additional chocolate syrup and whipped cream.

Gluten Free Coconut Chocolate Bundt Cake

For the final recipe I made a Gluten Free Chocolate Coconut Bundt Cake with Granulated Sugar Icing:
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 1/3 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 1/3 cups low-fat buttermilk
  • 1 cup canola oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs plus 1 egg yolk
  • 1 1/3 cups strong brewed and cooled Coconut Dunkin' Donuts Coffee
  • 3 cups Gluten Free Bisquick 
 Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease your bundt pan (I use canola spray). Add a whisk attachment to your mixer (this can also be done by hand). In your mixer bowl add sugar, eggs, and beat on a low speed for one minute. Add low-fat buttermilk, oil and vanilla extract and blend for another minute. Add cocoa and coffee. Make sure to add them slowly to prevent cocoa powder from puffing out. Finally add gluten free baking mix. You may need to add up to an additional 1 cups of baking mix. You want the consistency to not be too thick, the batter will be on the thin side. Pour into pan and bake for one hour. The icing is very easy.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar 
  • 1/4 cup cocoa 
  • 1/4 cup butter 
  • 1/4 cup milk 
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Add all ingredients except the vanilla extract to a small saucepan. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add vanilla. When cool beat with a mixer for 3 minutes.
